If you just replaced the hyfax and this is your first ride since. I would not sweat it. it is probably just them wearing in and glazing over. Keep it in the soft stuff if you can it will come around. I just switched out a Tillotson with a 34mm Mikuni on a single cyl 292. The Mikuni came of an indy 500, The main jet was a 220. I had a problem with the 292 revving too long while coming off the throttle. Changed the main to 260 (cuz thats what i had) and it helped quite a bit. Still working on the ...

my buddie just picked up what we think to be a 68 ski-daddler. It has a twin cyl Lloyd motor - Not sure of size. The machine is apart but seems to be all there. We are looking for spec info for plugs, belt and points. Also need a muffler. Anyone have any suggestions or links?

This is one of my concerns. Currently it is attached with rubber adaptor and carb sits at same angle as motor. This seems to have no effect as it is only idling and throttling in my garage. I need to give it a run and try to tune with jets and etc.
Any ideas?

Anyone ever swap out a Tillotson carb to a Mikuni with a fuel pump?
I just put a 34mm with pump on a 292 AC Lynx. It seems to run pretty good in the garage. Need some snow here for a test and tune run. Any thoughs or tricks on tuning this carb to motor?

Yup did it with fox ski shocks on a older Indy 500. Never had a problem still riding it after 10 years.
