New Handheld GPS!

Thanks for the input! I ended up going with the etrex Legend and it works great. I couldn't get a good enough reading through my jacket pocket so I bought a handlebar bag and modified it a bit to hold my gps. Since I live in the Red River Valley and we have no snow and what we had was in the ditches...

SkiDoo Manuals

Tantrum, Call Ski-doo for the owners manual. I bought a sled used a couple of years ago and I e-mailed them and they sent me one N/C. For the shop manual depends on the year, Clymer has good manuals for the older sleds, if it's a newer one ask your dealer to order you one I believe they come in book...

Miles on your 2002

306(all bad snow condition miles) on 02 MXZ 600x with one bent trailing arm already.

29 on the wife's MXZ 500 trail.

Look's like about all we'll have on them here in Minnesota. We're hoping to go to Michigan later this year so hopefully we can put some more miles on.

Accurate Speed Readings

Zipper, I have a Garmin Legend and I keep it in a handlebar bag that I modified so it wouldn't fall out. I have done numerous checks and have found my speedo on my 02 MXZ 600x is only off about 2-3 mph. I also tried it with my buddies 00 XC 500 and a 02 ZR 600 CC and found XC's speedo to be off betw...

Polaris suspension upgrade???

Can any of you guys tell me if an edge xtra 10 from a 2001 XCR 800 can be fitted to a 95 XCR 600? I know they are different chassis and the 01 has some electic controled shock but can it be done? If so is it a huge job and can the electric shock be hooked up on the 95. I found one with 0 miles on it...

New Handheld GPS!

Anyone using a GPS? What kind? Any one better than the next? Is it worth paying extra for the mapping features? Anyone know of snowmobile maps for MN, MI, or WI for any of the units. Looking to buy one and I figured someone on here would have a suggestion or at least an opinion. Thanks for the info ...
