Your friend has a problem my zr600efi gets about 10MPG riding hard witch translates to 90miles a tank + / -.If the machine is running @ all close to the way it should I would guess it is a math problem.

My 99 600 ZR efi clutch blew . A.C, was glad to replace it ,with 4000 mi. You should get that 600 efi checked.
