How many miles on your sleds?

I have only 700 miles on it...and I expect to put approx. 500 miles this coming weekend up in the St-Come area... I normally change sled every 2 years... My 01SRX700 had 4,500 kms and only replaced the carbides and plugs. It's all about maintenance/dealership...you can always buy a lemon though!!! I...

How many miles does avg. sledder ride each year

Usually I put around 2000-2500 miles a season.
Last season I put 4,500 kms on my 01SRX700.
This season, I have only 700 miles!!! not the best winter...
I think I should have over 1,200 miles by the end of the season...

HONDA 4 Stroke SLED ??????

I would love that if Honda gets involved in snowmobiling, it could be only engines for 1 of the 4... I like the Honda products...I've had so many Honda street bikes, atv's, motocross etc... I can see the CBR1100XX engine in a sled!!!maximum hp's at 9,200 rpm Or a VTR1000 engine max hp's at 8000 rpm!...

ZR 800 peak engine rpm performance

I'm running at 7,600-7,700 rpm and it's running just fine.
I was told that the EFI model are supposed to turn around 7,600 rpm for maximum performance...which is 200 rpm more than the carb version.
Also, you have to take in consideration that your tach may need to be calibrated...

2000 500xcsp vs 2000 zr500

The XC500sp has a stronger engine which is also very reliable... If you just want to cruise the trail at a medium to fast pace, both machine can do the job. I'll give the edge to the XC500sp for the stronger motor... but I prefer the ZR's suspension. It's your choice... Also the XC is easier to main...

SRX VS. ZR 800 Cross Country

I had a 01SRX700 (put 4000kms on it) and now I have a 02ZR800EFI with only 25 miles. It seems to me that the ZR pull a little more down low (first 400') but I can tell that the SRX has more juice when cruising at 70 mph and hit the trottle!!! As far as top end, I can't tell as my ZR still new (break...
