Need Help with Track info

So no other sleds used a short track like the Lynx's and Pumas? What about the old Yammy's, like a ET 300. what length of track did they have?

Need Help with Track info

I am wondering if any sleds used a rubber track that is 103 inches long or close. I am trying to put a rubber track under my 1971 Lynx.

Solid Cleat Rivets

Has anyone on here used the solid cleat rivets before? I picked some up today, I figured they would be stronger than regular steel rivets. I built a tool for my air hammer to put them in. It's not easy to put em in but I've got a system now and they're going ok. Does anyone have experience as to how...

Spark Problem?

Got her fixed tonight. A wire came off the condensor. I soldered it back on and now I have great spark!

Spark Problem?

My points were in rough shape so I changed them.

Is there any way to test the coils or the condensor for that matter. Otherwise I am forced to fix it by trial and error.

Spark Problem?

I put in new points and checked timing a couple races ago. I will try replacing the condensor next and see if it fixes the problem.

What is the correct procedure for replacing the condensor? I heard that it can be damaged if you heat it too much when soldering. Any tips would be great!

Spark Problem?

I've got a 71 Lynx with a 340 Hirth. I've been having some issues with it lately that I thought were carb related. I put in new points recently so I know they are good. When the engine gets hot (about 10 minutes of hard riding) it starts to cut in and out. It will be going good at wide open throttle...

Need advice about rivets:

I find the best way to remove rivets is to use an air hammer with a chisel and buzz them off! It works great. Very fast. Use an air rivetor to put back together and it should make for an easy task.
