alouette for sale

I'm not into Alouettes myself, but to any of you in South Central Ontario, there's one sitting for sale along Hwy.28 in Fraserville. It's infront of a house just south of, and across the road from Kawartha Downs Racetrack and Slots. It's grey, and would have had the handlebar fairing. The fairing's ...

What is the best motor oil on the market?

I made the mistake of running synthetic in my fan-cooled sled. I used Castrol Super Snowmobile Oil for two years in my 440Z, and I switched to Syntec. I couldn't believe the soot buildup I was getting on my plugs. My dealer told me to switch back to mineral, cause the internal temps on a fan aren't ...

ET340 carb specs?

Hey everyone! I hope we are all blessed with snow by now. My question is about a couple of ET340's my uncle left at my house. I said I'd go over them for him. What are the factory specs for the mixture screws? I think the sleds are around '78 or so. That brings me to my next question...The black ET ...

Motoski caboose?

Does anyone out there know if Moto-Ski ever built their own caboose? I bought this sleigh that is all fibreglass with steel frame. It kinda reminds me of an old Capri the way the outside edges on the front are raised. It is orange, has a windshield, seating is one behind the other, with chrome grab ...

Modular Helmet vs Motocross Helmet

This is probably old news to most of you, but to those that bought a modular helmet the first year, and didn't get the insulated mask that came with them the second year, Ski-doo dealers have them, no charge (not supposed to be, at least.)

Modular Helmet vs Motocross Helmet

I've had my Modular helmet since the first year they were introduced. I haven't had a problem with fogging since. The flip-down sun-shield is my favourite part, though. The only probs I've had so far are; On really cold days, sometimes ice will form in the vent tubes, right where the fixed and movin...

Clunking..Uh oH!!!

A racheting track happens when a track is too loose, and the drive cogs that turn your track actually slip. Doesn't sound like a winner in your case, though, cause this usually only happens when you honk on 'er. You can feel it more than hear it. I can only think of a few things, like maybe your dri...

Clunking..Uh oH!!!

Welcome back to the sport! Any snow in Barrie yet? About your clunking...is it a metallic noise, or is it something you feel more through the seat? Lots of possibilities, but it could be something simple, like a loose track that's ratcheting. Does the noise seem to follow engine speed? Need just a l...
