XC 700 Carbs

Does anyone know if the carbs on 98 xc 700 and the 99-00 xc's were the same? I've heard that 98's were 39mm Keihins and the 99-00 were 40's. Is this true and are they interchangeable without any jet, needles, etc. changes?

XC 700 Hesitation

Hey Icehole, just read your post, ran into the garage to check the tubes and sure as s**t, one of the tubes was off the airbox! Can't test it now though. I'll go nuts if that was my entire problem - will that really make that much of a difference? Anyways thanks for the insight.

XC 700 Hesitation

Have trouble with sled after it idles for ANY amount of time. Upon wide open throttle after idling, the sled stumbles as if it were loading up. It then clears up and runs fine. I've tried a boost bottle, different pilot jets, mixture screw adjustment, and nothing really seemed to help. Would lowerin...
