Slow Scorpion 440

Cleaned the clutch face and had it out.

The clutch still has a catch in it once the belt drops in 3/4 of an inch.

Any ideas on how to fix this.

Slow Scorpion 440

Pulled Intake and Exhaust for the pressure test to specify A touch low and ended up cleaning sludge out of #2. So it now is almost a perfect match for #1. Had her out and she hit about 45 before the secondary refused to open any further. Upon further inspecton it has some surface rust- I'm going to ...

Does it have the original mikuni carb? If it does open up the cavity that the throtle cable attaches to and make sure that the silver shaft that hanges out the botom hasen't lost its little E-clip. It ends up in the 3rd notch down most of the time. Adjusting how deep this needle hangs will alow you ...

Do you know the stock seting for the needles? If you do set them as such and either find someone who has a good carb balancing kit or have him purchase one from Shade Tree or JC Whitney. As far as I know the balancer should include good basic instructions that should work, but just take it easy on t...

What Kind of Moron are You!!!!!!!!!!!

You would trust any sort of protection to a $1.25 Brain Bucket??!!

Between the price of a factory X-ray or rebuild you might as well just buy a new one.

The PTO clutch is definatley free- The Secondary is ? as it wont fully activate under load. On Stands she can hit 70mph with 1/4 throttle left. At which point she will just about jump off of the stands. The Compression on the #1 cylinder is a touch low but nothing major, #2 is fine. She has full spa...

Slow Scorpion 440

I have a Scorpion Super Stinger 440/Rockwel w/Walbro WD carb. She's a pig to prime but once she's up its good for the day. The only problem is she tops out at about 35mph and is a dog out of the turns, if its down to dirt it may even need a little help. Any ideas would be great as its in nearly mint...
