AbsoluteSnowmobile .com RIP OFFS

I too have been ripped off by him. Its only $5.00 bucks but i wanted my Tee shirt from the Guiness Record Ride that he ran last season. I never got it and he never answered my emails

Best place to unload on the hill

Alder Creek is southern tug hill. But it gives you nice starting point. Timberview is also a good place

First year and a few questions

I would sell it off and buy a 600 instead. your insurance on an 800 has to more than that for a 600. If you start with an 800 theres not much more you could look foward to in the future. I worked my way up from a 340 to a 540 to a 600 (or somewhere around those numbers)

Favorite Christmas Traditions......

My favorite is being out on the trails Xmas day. Hardly anyone else around. However is does have its draw backs. Almost all the restaurants are closed too, at least in Old Forge. One season we had microwave hotdogs at the nice-n-easy for Xmas dinner

Tug Hill & Old Forge

Of course you can ride from one area to the other. 1 way is through Brantiham coming from Stillwater or other route is from Alder Creek area.

DUI on a snowmobile

I second that motion. More check points are needed to cut down DUI

Group tolerance for alcohol while riding

I like rule # 1 and # 3. I wish i rode in an area where I would need rule #2. Too bad my group is not 100% sober when we ride. I think I'll find a new group this season.

Riding this weekend

I've ruined many a pair of skegs with early rideing. Too many stumps, rocks, nasty stuff under 4" and thats on groomed trails. IMHO- dont do, wait a bit longer

NYC area snowmobiling

I live in Brooklyn. There is NO PLACE close to ride. Best bet is Old Forge, 285 miles miles. Couple of sled rental places, good night life. Cheap place to stay is the old KOA.
