johnson reverse problem need help

How do you know when there is enough gear oil in the case? Thanks!!

johnson reverse problem need help

I messed around with it some more and did get it to engage. when i pull back on it I can feel it lock in to somthing. however it just "locks up". the drive pulley wont move at all. forward or reverse. somthing might be froze up inside, the sled hasnt been used in awhile. thanks again!

johnson reverse problem need help

no, there is no grinding or any noise whats so ever. the handle pulls back about for inches or so. there doesnt seem to be any resistance, it moves back and forth very freely. I have checked all the linkage and its ok, the problem seems to be internal. thanks for your help and anything you can think...

johnson reverse problem need help

I have a 1970 johnson skee horse 437 wide track and cant get it to go into reverse. linkage is ok. when I pull the handle reverse does not engage. is there fluid in the reverse drive case? could it be low? it moves forward just fine. im not sure how the reverse works internally so im having trouble ...
