what do you think, the" Best longest lasting" snowmobile motor ever built was/is

488 fuji, that motor is great, not the strongest, but by far one of the longest lasting most reliable motors you can buy

Weight... as in your arse (skinny woman goes faster than fat man?)

A heavier person will have an advantage hooking up on the bottom end, but once you hit high speeds the extra weight will just slow you down

Rusty pipes

What i found the easiest solution to that problem was to sand the pipe by hand to remove the surface rust, then spray paint the pipes with hi temp paint (intake manifold, or exhaust) i did it at the start of last year, and my pipe looks as good as new, only cost me $9

Mercury snowmobiles

Hey guys, my question is in regards to mercury snowmobiles, from what i here from old timers they were fast as hell, im referring to snow twisters and trail twisters, can somone give me some numbers on how fast, and what what they were like to ride/work on, i am considering buying a 440 snow twister...

indy top end speed

The belt is new, i realize polaris is bad with speedo's i have a friend with a xlt sp (95) that shows 115 on the speedo, ohh well, guess i will have to be happy with what i got, and start saving for a upgrade, sleds been bulletproof so far, just not as quick as i would like, thanks for the help guys

just wondering if anyone knows what good compression levels are in a 488 fan, i have 119lbs in both sides, is this normal, high, low? i know i have a friend with a 97 trail and he can walk from me top end, which makes me ask questions about my own, any help is appreciated, or i might just have to co...

No, its 80mph at the max, about 75 on the lake, but it always feels like it is holding back, i can drag a 380 formula s and be dead even, im pretty sure it has more in it, but im not sure how to free it up

hey, i am the owner of a 1995 indy trail deluxe, it has a 133 inch track, and a 488cc fan motor. my problem is with top end speed, flat out its slow, i have a strong bottom end (leave huge piles off the line) but it won't pass 80mph (ever!) i was wondering if anyone can tell me why this is, and how ...
