they pull hard from 6700-8400 and yes they are loud but not obnoxious.
With everything on my motor, i pulled 84 HP on a dyno.

Ryde FX shock, snaped in two

You know, i tore apart a buddys 03 pro-x 600 w/ 1200 miles on it and the eyelets were shot on the front and rear track shocks. Ryde FX seriously needs to use some better materials while producing a shock. I run FOX on mine and never have these problems.
