oil pump ratio?????????

I am having a little argument with my uncle about the proper setting of my oil pump. I can't see the indicator marks on the boss or pump arm because of the location of the pump. So I am doing the calculations when I top off my gas/oil together. the last 2 times I calculated it, it was running at rat...

Early build F6 differences

I have an 04' green F6 and am looking for a reverse kit for it. When I look up the part #'s, there are two different kits. one for what they call an "early build" and another for the later models for that year. I was searching around to try and see which I have and the only info I came across was th...

1999 MXZ 600 engine rebuilding question

The .0055 number sounds reasonable. Especially if it's speced. You need a little room around the sides for the piston to expand when it gets hot. And I would reccomend bumping the main up a size or 2. you can always lower it back down if you start to carb up on top end. but it's not such an easy fix...

F7 Help!!!

Well, I compromised a little and ended up buying a 04' F6. It has 1600 miles on it. It's fully studded and has the vforce3 reeds in it. I bagged it for $4800. It was a little more than I wanted to pay. But it blue books at 5300. So I guess it was a good price. The reeds alone are worth $250. He has ...

F7 Help!!!

I talked to the guy and he said that all the updates were done by arctic cat dealers. the rivots coming apart doesn't scare me as much as the overheating thing. that's not an easy fix. I wonder if arctic cat just let that one slide by and just fixed the prob on the 04's. I'll have to call him again ...

F7 Help!!!

I wonder what these problems were. cause I've heard in the past that arctic cat is really good about recalls and getting their equipment fixed right. I don't have a problem buying a sled as long as the problem areas were fixed. because the nice thing about the 03 f7 is that it is the most powerful o...

Now, i'm not talking about maintenance, slides, carbides, etc. But mechanical problems. I ride mostly trails, but I want a sled that can lead the pack across a lake when I get t...

voltage regulater

so from what I'm hearing, 2-wire regulators are only good on non-electric start motors? Is this right? I would still like to know if a 2 wire regulator can be hooked up?

or maybe if noone knows about a four wire regulator, does anyone know if you can hook a 2 wire regulator up to a stator that puts out alternating current?
