1978 Polaris TX 440 f/a

Hi Kurt, I guess I would have to say honestly cause of the distance, I could only ask for parts shipped in the future if you decide you could piece the machine out.
Thanks, Ultra 700

1978 Polaris TX 440 f/a

Hi, tx440, it's still interesting of what you have. I did my girlfiends sled up and not fully done, but it did come out pretty good so far and ready to ride. It is a 440 Electra, 77. I totally repainted this thing with the exception of the hoods frature cracks. The engine, carbs, etc,... are spotles...

1978 Polaris TX 440 f/a

Don't mean to disappoint you in not knowing your question asked. I'm rather typing to ask you a question. I have a Chaparral 440 Thunderbird that I'am trying to make look great for a vintage run. This is not the sled I want as my vintage though. I'm fixing it up to achieve money to acquire a 76 to 7...

EVERYBODY READ!!!..Lack of Replies!

There is alot of different reasons why people don't flood your question asked. For my personal my opinion and situation. It's this.......I don't have 23 hours out of the day to do this, for now I have worked at my company for 17 years and in Febuary they are closing their doors on 603 employees. I'm...

"VINTAGE SLED OWNER WANTING TO MEET OTHER OWNERS"

Customsleds, Hi, to be honest I still have to call the ring leader myself as far as the first seasonal vintage run. I'm pretty sure it will be Martin Luther King weekend. It is as such on the date due to plentiful snow and it gives some people one more day off for travel. It may not be considered a ...

"VINTAGE SLED OWNER WANTING TO MEET OTHER OWNERS"

Hi, Hurley is located in the top of the state. It's at the end of Freeway / highway 51. 500 feet from the boarder of Mich. I grew up here and have always been blessed with snow. It's my dad's fault for my liking of snow so much..,God bless him. I think they have 27 inches on the ground right now. My...

"VINTAGE SLED OWNER WANTING TO MEET OTHER OWNERS"

Hi, just poking around on the vintage site finally. I have a 1974 Chaparral 440 Thunderbird that I'm restoring. I'm trying to get it done before Mid January. For this is when the Hurley, Wisc. vintage run takes place. One of my buddies started this with 3 people for a religious 2 time seasonal outin...

Where is the snow?

Very nice machines. A member did one of these up in the vintage outting in Hurley, Wisc. It was pretty mint too. A 340 version. They have always caught my eye. If I can get my 74 Chaparral done in time for the mid January's ride, then maybe I will be able to exchange a ride with him. I never drove o...

Sick of ignorant kids..

Loudflipper, I like the speed acheivements done on your vintages. Can you top my 300 plus on my 1974 Chaparral? I think if I put a good wax job on it I should be able to get another 10 m.p.h. on top of my plus speed.

Lights Dim while sled running?

You couldn't have described a more perfect description of what I just went thru a couple weeks ago. I got my sled all ready and waiting to rock and roll when I noticed this same very thing. After I replaced the voltage regulator, it was a renewed lighting system.
