Cut and reweld the stock a-arm no one can tell, otherwise scrap the sled because without the mod you are wasting time and money. I have done it both ways. the other option is get a 2000 or newer stock lower Zr a-arm it is about a 1/2 longer than the 99.

the most important thing is to shorten the upper a-arm 3/8-7/16 of an inch or get an adjustable one. When you lower the sled it tips the spindles out and you roll off the carbide in the turns.
