To rebuild or not to rebuild? That is the question.......

Don't mean to start something, but that sled does not have reeds and neither do all two strokes. Those motors use piston porting the post from polarisindy is correct it is a punched out xlt.

Don't know about the rest of you but I can't see why you would spend the extra $'s on oil. I have run standard Castro Injector oil for years. It's inexpensive and never had any motor problems. I used five cases of quarts last season at $ 2.90 a quart. Sure beats paying upwards of $ 5.00 to $7.00. As...

Anti-theft ideas

How do you burn a piston when running out of fuel? If the gas runs dry the motor stops running and their is no more fire. I don't believe itis the spark plug that burns the piston it is the generated heat from the friction etc?

Hey Now! This the most posting I have seen from the East Coast on here yet. I am not from Maine but do ride there quite often, Usually bounce around between Moosehead Lake Region and Fort Kent area. Guess you gota be in the know to understand "The County"

Sled Reliabilty- Getting Better?

It's not wether you baby it or not. I have ridden the hell out of three machines, all have very high mileage and all run and operate perfectly. It's all in how you maintain it.

I have way too many toys and can't afford to trade up often at all. I have a 88 indy trail with 22,000 miles on it bought it brand new, My son usually rides that now.
