Hey ZR500PA

I've only been able too make laps around the field,But I think I am going to put the mains back down to 310's. Everything looks good at 20 degrees, It starts better with the pilots at 35's and I haven't fouled a plug yet. Just helped a freind put a black magic clutch in his 2000 ZR 500 EFI. Raised e...

rich on one side, lean on other... but just one carb... help?

I would check the crankshaft seal on the hot side. Switch the spark plug wires too see if one wire is bad. tighten the manifolds, check gaskets on intake and exhausts. Do a compression test. Its not always the hot side thats wrong, some times it is trying to make up for the other.

TORQUE RODS

I need pros and cons on torque rods, are they going to cause problems some where else. Do they make a noticeable improvement in take off. will they break head bolts,are cause leaks. Thanks in advance.

Viper bleeds green

I beleave yamaha got a bunch of bad hose, I seen a new viper in the shop leaking antifreeze in the crate. The mechanic said that the hose was seeping through the threads,really leaked when he warmed it up. They have weak clamps too. The viper guys have better keep an eye on this.

New Tracks

The best thing to do is read the manual that came with your sled. It has alot of good tips for maintance on you sled,I think it will tell you to put 500 miles on the sled and then check the track for tension and alignment. Most tracks take a set and then they go a long time between ajustments.

Broken Piston ` any ideas?

All fuel pumps work off of the pressures in the crank case, this being an old cat you need too mix fuel. When an diaphragm breaks in the pump, this will fill the bottom of your block with fuel,They will run doggy unless they are wide open, and then they go like hell. you could of hydrolock the case,...
