trailer enclosure or cover like sled shield?

Take a look at www.toycarrier.com. Think that's what you have in mind, but I don't know pricing.

Trails in Rensellear

Go to www.nyssnowassoc.org. Click on "Clubs on the Web" at the top of the page(upper left hand), from there, just find your county. Will list information, and hopefully a phone # where you can call someone for trail info. Good luck.

Goggles

I use Scott Turbo Flows, I think many brands come with interchangeable lenses for varying light conditions, can probably slip them in a hat bag, etc. when you ride. I just use clear, my helmet has the visor to help shield the light.

MotoX Helmets - how to stay warm?

Also switched to Moto X style this year...Scott turbo flows, with a No-Fog mask. Was out yesterday, never got cold, no exposed flesh, No-Fog makes a good seal around cheeks. Nice burst of fresh air coming through too..not overheated like I used to get with my full face.

Cost of NY Trail Permit?

Out of state registration is $35, also have to have proof of insurance. No trail permit fee unless you ride Old Forge/Inlet where there is a weekly permit fee of $40. For trails around WNY, go to www.nyssnowassoc.org, click on "Clubs on the web"..check Erie, Niagra, counties etc.

slap your local insurance man

That money is an estimate of the economic impact snowmobilers have on the entire state for the year...I assume it means new sleds/trailers/ gas/lodging/ etc...anyway you look at it ...it is huge....and snowmobilers continue to foot the bill to play in their own back yard...maybe this is the wake up...
