Firecat heat exchanger

Polaris went away from them due to the fact that in there sometimes were problems in getting enough snow onto them to cool the system, they now have them in the tunnel. Sure was nice though to keep the boards ice free.

VES valve problem

I guess I got lucky, valve didn't cause major damage, and it still ran o.k.

Polaris Warranty BS!!

Latest is my sled is at the shop for the broken exhaust valve, new piston (valve made contact with the original) and I asked about any carb jetting/adjustments or timing that should be looked at and they seemed as though it is fine as it came from Polaris. Can anyone tell me if they have a '01 500SP...

VES valve problem

Dropped the sled off at the dealer, and by the time I got home they had called and said besides needing a new valve, will also need a new piston. Evidently the valve had made contact with it. Once they have the head off, they'll check to see if the cylinder is okay. Guess I'll make use of the 2 yr. ...

Polaris VES valve broke

Anyone have or hear of the exhaust valve(actual sliding piece) breaking? On my '01 500SP, one broke where the machined shaft meets the "blade".

Polaris Warranty BS!!

XCSPinVT-Tried using a needle-nose vise grip pliers (not much room to get on to it, and it won't pull out, pliers slips off. I pilled the plugs and they are a darker than they should be. I plan on checking with the dealer (and Polaris when they(I) call)about what proper jetting should be. Thanks

Polaris Warranty BS!!

Riley, Polaris didn't call back, but now when they do, I have another concern-the valve(actual part that slides open and close) in the assembly that the cap and spring came out of was broke in two when I removed it for cleaning yesterday, anyone know what would cause this? It can only slide in and o...

VES valve problem

What a suprise I came across tonight. A week ago, I noticed my sled not performing properly, opened the hood and found the broken blue threaded cap and spring from the left cylinder exhaust valve lying in the belly pan. Got a new cap, replaced the parts and thought I was good to go. Now that the wea...

Pictures of 15 Firecats With Options!

Received a color mailer from Cat in the mail with pics of all the new sleds, see the ZL's can be had with remote start-isn't this going a little too far?
