GEE A CAT WON A RACE!!

MM700, I have been on this board for some time and I don't reply until I get so fed up with the******the floats around when it comes to racing. I grew up around racing, I have lived a humble, low budget, but yet very active racing career, that stems from short lived stints in racing myself, to wrenc...

New Yamaha's to be unvailed at Cruiserfest in Minocqua

You are comparing a 440 sno-pro, to trail sleds from Yamaha. Even Cat guys know that if you buy a 440 sno-pro, you will have added machanical efforts, because they are made for one thing and it aint trail riding. Besides if a fuel pump goes out, wouldn't it be a Mikuni, and the same Mikuni that is o...

GEE A CAT WON A RACE!!

MM700, if you think that any of the champ sleds, or formula 1 sleds, or sno-pro sleds from the seventies, that have competed in the world championship, have been anything more than hand-built racers with factory colors on them, you are dumber than even some of your posts!!!!!!! If any of the champ s...

Arctic Cat Cheetah

The bushings and spider in the clutch are probably wore-out. To check this, I wouldn't remove the clutch guard as pieces of the clutch can and have come flying out, many people have been hurt and lost eyes doing this. The best way to check if your clutch is engaging all the way, take a magic marker,...

anyone know of any bike engined sleds?

It has been tried, I can't give you any specifics, but why would you go from a constantly changing torque and RPM sensing transmission with your clutches, to a manually shifting transmission that you will never be able to keep in the powerband efficiently? I say it would be fun to try, but I think y...

SkiDoo Head Light BlowOut

My guess is you have a bad voltage regulator, it is a quick change and fairly cheap fix, but it is definately the place to start

10 Best sleds in the last 10yrs.

1. 93-97 ZR's (has there ever been a more dominate package) 2. Rev's (could be even more dominate package, will know in time) 3. 500 Indy/500 XC (just for dependability, polaris has nothing new in the last 10 years, hoping for near future) 4.RX-1 (Like it or not, it has set a high bar for the compet...

1980 arctic cat eltigre 5000 f/a Oil Gas mixture ratio

I agree that 50:1 with the oils of today (not all oils, I don't believe in some of the cheap off brands) is sufficient to run in most any engine. However if I have an old sled that I truely care about, which is any and all of them, I am going to run something a little thicker, 25:1 to 40:1. I am a p...
