Re: The future of Champ

Eagle River has the greatest speed variations from maximum to minimum of any track. This makes it a great place to test this rule. If your going to see a difference, this is where you will see it. Now the fact that it is the biggest race of the year, and pays the highest purse etc makes it a horribl...

Re: Ice Chip Eliminator (I.C.E.) for your skis

Looks good tony. It would be really nice to see how they work in cold weather and with a field of sleds running them. Looks like they only extend a little past the outside edge of the ski, but considering its a safety item for others on the track and doesn't affect handling, it shouldn't be counted ...

Re: Just a thought on Champ and Champ Lite ideas

I like the a main and b main concept but that's basically what we have now with an lcq. I like the B Main name better but doubt that alone will make any difference. I personally think rolling starts will be a disaster. Guys a few rows back getting big jumps and making stupid choices going into turn ...

Re: V-FORCE/Moto Tassinari Pro-lite series

Not sure where you find 10K shocks...Leave the rules the same as Pro-Champ...Thats how you learn!!! Yes there are adjustable shocks available but they will last for as long as you race, just need rebuilds...I have seen guys win with non adjustable in Champ...Their will always be people who spend mo...

Re: V-FORCE/Moto Tassinari Pro-lite series

John, what about shocks? Are you leaving them open? I would suggest limiting it to a spec adjustable shock, not allowing remote reservoirs or something along those lines. Shock packages nowadays can get soo expensive, and because its just a Bolton piece, it's easy to upgrade if you go to pro champ. ...

Re: V-FORCE/Moto Tassinari Pro-lite series

So if a guy builds a sled for this class and wins the 1st 4 races he has nowhere to race and needs to find an engine builder to build him a $8000 engine mid season. Not going to happened. Re-read the rules!!!! They cannot race in that class the following year!!! So you can win every race in this se...

Re: V-FORCE/Moto Tassinari Pro-lite series

Looks good John, the only concern that I would have is that it may take away from Pro champ here in the East. We don't seem to have the higher budget teams like those out west, and this does look more attractive to them. Hopefully guys will run both classes, but that will depend on how the classes a...

Re: V-FORCE/Moto Tassinari Pro-lite series

John, Is there no minimum sled weight? Just a combined weight?

Re: The future of Champ

John, I was once completly against this proposed combined weight rule, but I do think something could be done to help eliminate the advantage of the really light drivers. I think the number you proposed at 580lb is too much. I would suggest the following. #1. Increase the overall weight of the sleds...
