One Lunger. How hard do they pull.

Most of those old singles do have a lot of compression. Do a compression check and see what you get. I am guessing these engines had a high compression ratio. Maybe someone knows for sure. I would look to the compression first. If it is around 150 or higher it may pull that hard. I had a JLO 372 sin...

How miles on the vintage sleds so far this year?

Just curious as to how many miles so far on the trails. Here in Northern WI our trails have only been open for about a week all year. Still managed to put about 100 miles on the 1975 TX 340 and about 40 on the 1975 TX 440. Hoping to get the Charger out this weekend if the trails are still open? I am...

Help with 91 wildcat 700

Just a guess but you could have a grounding problem somewhere on the ignition. Check all wires from the stator plate to the main wiring harness. Could be a wire off that would cause you to burn out the coils. Usually the cdi is also affected when this happens but anything is possible. Other than tha...

Super Bowl Sunday! ! !

The patriots and the Eagles face off. T.O better hope God is going to heal his knee in a few days. Otherwise it will be Randy Moss syndrome all over again. Walk around the whole game with a limp. I guess an injured T.O. is better than no T.O?

What happened to VSCA?

That sounds promising. I hope they get it worked out there because I enjoyed the magazine when they were publishing them. Hope it turns around.

flooded engine

If an engine is flooded I would take the plugs out and pull the motor over a few times to get some of the gas out. Then put a new pair of plugs in. If you have blue spark, good compression (over 100 pounds)and have gas flow the engine should run. Make sure you carb(s) is adjusted correctly as well. H...

What happened to VSCA?

It is dead. Took $25 from me last year. Never heard back from them. Someone should start another vintage club since these boneheads don't have a clue. Bad for the sport when the national club is a crook.

pits in the chrome bore

I have ran TX's with chrome bores with very slight amounts of pitting or rough spots from sitting for years. Seemed to be okay. Any pitting larger than a pin head I would be wary. Chrome bores break down much easier than the cast do. Like rickyone said give it a try and see what happens. Every engin...

who'd win? '71 King Cat 800 triple or '71 TNT 775 twin

King Cat hands down. I would take the Blizzard in the long run.
