I'm tellin' ya. A "regular puller" designed to take off a certain clutch is the only way to go. No guess work, no questions...ram it off with an impact and eleviate any headache before it starts!

There's a universal puller you can buy, it's just a disc with various holes drilled in it for most flywheels, and it has a bolt ran though it. Yep, JUNK. I had them on a 97 Mach 1. What a friggin' tuning nightmare. I had 35 pilots stock. Directions said cut it in half. Started out with the 17.5s. It still wouldn't run right on the bottom after going down to the 12.5s and dropping the needle. Acted like it was running rich all the time stil...

staple a piece of 1500grit sandpaper to a small block of wood. Sand off the high spots down to the rest. (The high spots will get shiney)

I don't know for sure...I do believe the 75 engines were basically GPX bottoms with a top end based on the 74 engines. Then changed to the "SRX" engine in 76. If the 74 engine was 115hp, it was quite a feat. Getting a rotary valve triple exhaust port Rotax to 115 I think is prety good. With 120-125 ...
