what sled did the tach come from? Cat didn't use a mechanical tach...DID THEY?@?@!?!?!! You'll need the linkeage that hoods the cable to the crankshaft, and you can only use the old recoil if the holes will all line up...

BWAHAHA its a 76 SST 440 F/C

Well, if you wanna work this thing over to it's potential...and this is a brain storming session. How 'bout a set of SR heads, chop off the fan shroud like on the 292 Thunderjets, run your low mass ignition rotor. Hey, did you ever get started in remanufacturing heads...or did that fall through. I h...

BWAHAHA its a 76 SST 440 F/C

So. Somebody found a Yammy 643 in a junk yard, put a set of Miks and a 108 on it...slapped a Sno Jet sticker on the fan housing and seen how much they could get for it. It's definately a neat sled, not bad money either, really...but I bet the stock 440 will walk all over the crude 643. Those things ...

Primary Clutch Removal (fixed PTO sheave)

I'm tellin' ya. A "regular puller" designed to take off a certain clutch is the only way to go. No guess work, no questions...ram it off with an impact and eleviate any headache before it starts!

Would this work

There's a universal puller you can buy, it's just a disc with various holes drilled in it for most flywheels, and it has a bolt ran though it. Sometimes the harmonic pullers have holes that are too big and not close enough together. You can get a puller from [url=www.hiperf.com]High Performance Engi...

triple cat counterbalancer

Ok, can I ditch the counterbalancer on my 900 triple. Or is the crankshaft balanced and matched to run with the balancer? Seems like it could just be thrown away?! Or'm I wrong?

I'm getting ready to rebuilt this baby and drop it in a ZR, looking for simplicity and weight savings......

Ultimate Flow Optimizer

Yep, JUNK. I had them on a 97 Mach 1. What a friggin' tuning nightmare. I had 35 pilots stock. Directions said cut it in half. Started out with the 17.5s. It still wouldn't run right on the bottom after going down to the 12.5s and dropping the needle. Acted like it was running rich all the time stil...

Is this new SPI piston still good? or should I exchange it

staple a piece of 1500grit sandpaper to a small block of wood. Sand off the high spots down to the rest. (The high spots will get shiney)

long as they ain't cracked...I'd use 'em

74 srx sno-pro

I don't know for sure...I do believe the 75 engines were basically GPX bottoms with a top end based on the 74 engines. Then changed to the "SRX" engine in 76. If the 74 engine was 115hp, it was quite a feat. Getting a rotary valve triple exhaust port Rotax to 115 I think is prety good. With 120-125 ...
