Ok,
well been reading this post fo awhile and I will admit since i am just a spectater and not a driver either way this rule would not effect me personally.
So my thoughts:
It is a stupid idea, now calm down calm down. Why do i think this wel because first everybody is talking about doin it for only ONE class if your going to do it than ever class out there should have to do it because in every class you have different driver weights. Like Mr Kallock said also if we do this than what are you gonna do about the drivers who are shorter or not as strong as the other drivers, if you favor to one thing like weight than you have to take into consideration all the other disadvantages that other drivers have out there and it could open a whole can of worms.
Plain and simple until the "ligther" drivers start domanating the classes than maybe it would be something to look at, but i beleave this year in all circuits there were different winners (brands, weight, etc) Whats funny is one driver that has stood out the past 2 years is one of the heavest if not the heavest driver on a champ sled #74 Dustin Wahl.
if you want to make it more fair than well allow the people who are not as fast as the guys with deep pockets to run a 600 in the 440 class HAHAHAHA ya that will happen. Everybody on here compares this to NASCAR well what do you see NASCAR do when a Driver/team/Manufactor is domaniting they make that Driver/team/Manufactor add something to slow them down(restricter plates)
Like people have said you cannot compare this to say DRAG racing they run a 10 sec straight shot, they dont have to turn the machine time and time again and go thru 8-12 inch deep pot holes and dice in and out of traffic. You add more weight to a smaller driver on his sled your going to ware him/her out and see more accidents!!!!!
