The real story of the share air / Boost Bottle is the Share Air System. The Affiliates voted in Share Air.
USSA voted No. and i believe that Tony P voted No.
Mira, CPT, ORA, Derby, SMDG voted Yes.
The Soo stayed out of the vote.

This is going to make a very interesting next 5 years (its lock in)

Does anyone know what the final wording of the new shared air rule will be?

Looks like the new rule will not allow "shared air manifolds" but will allow a little more freedom of boost bottle design and size. The Rotax design concept is mentioned as an example and a max volume of around 350cc.
Should equalize the power potential of the 3 brands slightly. Boost bottles help mostly with low end and mid range power but can also help a little on top end. John Hooper
