A true friend.

I, as well as my family, and ALL the racing community have lost a very large part of us today.

Marcel, you will be missed beyond words.

Marcel was absolutely, positively one of my favorite guys in the sport -- a true gentleman who always seemed to keep everybody's best interests in mind and a friend to all racers (and a few snowmojournalists). Marcel, we are all better people for having met you. Godspeed, my friend.

Marcel will surely be missed-he was such a great and respected man-it was an honor to know him. He was always so calm and the racers respected what he said as we knew that everything he did was for the racer first.
The racing family has lost a wonderful man.

This sucks, Marcel was a true champion of the sport. His first interest was always with the racers. A real gentlemen that will be missed.

Sad news for the eastern racing circuit! Marcel was indeed a true gentleman who had great passion for the sport. He most certainly was always fair and put the racers best interests at the forefront. Our family truly enjoyed visiting with Marcel at each event.

Condolences to the Fontaine family.

When I heard that Marcel had passed away my heart sank. Marcel was many things. A true friend, a gentleman, a leader and a visionary. His passion for snowmobile racing was only surpassed by his passion for his wife. He was also quite the partier. As most of the wives of the racers know he made many women blush with his "pinning" ceremony. Many laughs and many good memories. I remember one crisp February morning about -25 C he came up to me and rubbed his hands together and said with a big smile " I love the smell of race gas in the morning". He was also the most honest and the fairest person I have ever met and he will surely be missed.
Until we meet again my friend.....

The racing community everywhere has lost a friend, supporter, confidant, and the truest representative of the human spirit anywhere. A fine man. Personally from myself and all of the people at USSA, Godspeed!
