Slednecks 5- Hope you didn't waste money on it

Well, my message is as to the point as the title. Being the sledder I am, I like to catch all the sleddin videos. I highly recommend not purchasing this video, especially if you already have a slednecks video. I am going back to the dealer and I am going to get the newest episode of 2SCS like I should have in the first place. The Powder Bound series is pretty sweet too...does anyone else agree with me on this? It just seemed like it was the same old $hit except for new sleds. It wasn't even that long and it didn't have much cool footage in it I didn't think. Let me know!

Slednecks 5- Hope you didn't waste money on it

Too late for me. I bought it on DVD at the snowmobile show in Toronto. The first four vid's from slednecks and 2SCS were great, each one pushing the envelope a little further, but it's clear with slednecks 5 that is being treated as a business and nothing more. In the beggining it was a bunch of crazy guys pushing the boundaries, testing their limits. This vid feels so commercial. Each rider alloted the same amount of time and format, you end up seeing basically the same tricks over and over and over, and that footage of the competition was extremely boring!!! The only good part was the coverage of sledding in Sweden. If you do buy 2 stroke 5, let me know if it's better. I remember seeing an informal survey a couple of weeks ago that placed Slednecks 5 as the worst new vid, 2 stroke placing not much better. Altcity2 and some other one were tops this year.

Ok I will let you know if I ever get out and buy it. After I thought about it I am still unsure as to whether or not I will buy this one either. Seems like it may be a silly choice too. I did hear that about Alticity I should have checked into that further. -sb

I definately appreciate the heads up on that one. I have SN2 and 3 I was about to get 5.
Oil would be cheaper if the greenies stopped using it.

Slednecks 5- Hope you didn't waste money on it

I agree, it isn't all that good. I think the problem with it was that the video never build up to a grand finale. SN5 just hit a level and stayed there and certianly didn't break any new ground. When I first watched it I was surprised to catch myself looking at the clock wondering if it was close to the end. Needless to say I have not bought it.

2SCS5 is okay. It seems more "raw" and has a better feel to it, if that makes any sense. Still it features a lot of the same stunts over and over and over. Who knows, maybe I'm getting burned out watching the same old sh!t. If you watch any FMX then you've seen how the back flip is d**n near manditory to win a comp. I'm not too confident that sleds will be able to follow the FMX guys into the new realm.
