why does my xlt keep fouling plugs?

i have a 98 xlt tripple 600 and it keeps fouling plugs like every 300 miles i was just wondering if there was a better plug i could run or if something needs to be adjusted i am running br9es NGK thanks for your advise

have you tried running br8es. one of my friends that had a sled like that went to 8's because he would foul 9's all the time.

maybe a problem with your carbs?? my dad has one and it had floats that kept stickin and would keep the engine...also these sleds are fairly tempermental when it comes to trailering them...should shut the fuel off, otherwise it might seem into the crankcase and it wont run...-INDY

the problem is the ngk plugs. my xlt and xcr both had problems with them. I would go out and buy some champions that will take care of it.

yea, definetly switch brands, i dont have a favorite, but all are pretty good, if you ask me (which most probaly aren't)
