Nice line-up, nothing too spectacular. I am going to stick with my 03 RevX 800. What do you guys think of the new 800HO, think it may be that much better than 03 800 engine?

so it looks like they pretty much scraped the gt line and put it into the legend, which was pushed over by the gsx....interesting.....
good to see more colours with the rev's

oh did you guys see the skidoo ELITE???? MAN THAT IS REALLY f**kING UGLY....AND A GELCOAT?TITANIUM PAINT FINISH......<>> thats sick..they could have at least put some grapgics on it......how are you suppose to get one of those through rough spots or down snwo banks???

I have a few questions: Please bear with me as I am fairly new to snowmobiling.

Is SDI considered more or less advanced than DPM?

Does anyone know approximately how much weight is added by: 1.25" vs. 1" track (15x121)

It looks like rer works w/o electric start, is this correct, I assume you dont have to pull start it in between switching from forward to reverse?

About how much weight does electric start usually add?

I have heard that the rev riding style has you nearly leaning over the handlebars at times. What do any current rev owners think of the GSX? Will that windshield, and especially those mirrors, be in the way?
Also, how is it with the low windshield? A lot of wind at high speeds? Cold?

Thanks,

dpm is confined to base line jetting and can only lean out the engine to a certain extent. it works good in the mountains because the air is thin and less fuel is needed

I beleive sdi can adjust itself to anything, allows better atomization of fuel, better fuel deliovery and efficiency

sdi therefor is more advanced and is newer.

yes rer works without electric start....what it does is slow the engine down alot, and then fires then engine really early, because it doesn have the speed or power to complete its stroke, it has no choice to go back the way it came... so no , you dont have to pull between shifts( also rember the the pull strat is wound to pull the engine over in the forward direction only)

I have heard many times that the rev riding position is cold because there is not a lot of protection. on the rev you do pretty much ride the tank, with your feet below you (unlike conventional feet outstreched, although, if you ride with your feet underr you normally, it probably wont be too hard to switch....im told it is a very different feeling though...

never owned a rev (just for the record) but this is what i've gathered from other psotings.......

looks like someones got spring fever for a shiny new gsx, no?

Kneedeep, thanks for the info. The big question now is whether to try and find a deal on a leftover rev 600HO w/ rer or spring for the new 2004 mxz rev600 w/sdi and rer?? That sdi sounds like a pretty good feature, and the new tunnell is much nicer too! Decisions, decisions! Anyone know how much snow we will get next year? :)

if you want the sled now, go for the '03
but if youve got the cash go for the '04
it will be better with the refinements and better on fuel....
