Which to snowcheck?

Postby Tantrum » March 10th, 2003, 5:36 am

Please help me out here. I need to decide quickly which sleds to snowcheck.
Riders; me, 200lbs aggressive trail riding, current sled '98 670HO. My gf, 112lbs, fast less agressive, trail riding, current sled '02 600Edge.
Riding area; Northeast mostly in southern NH w/ trips to Old Forge and Pittsburgh NH.
A week ago we were ordering a 600 & 700Edge. Now the REV has my interest. I like both machines and have very good relationships with both dealers. Please help me out with this REV. What engine size should I look at? What options? What are the likes and dislikes on these?

The Rev 600 should fit you perfectly. I would ride one first to make sure you like the possition BEFORE you shell out the cash.

I personaly would go with the REV 600. great all around sled! you shouldn't need anything mor in the trails. and I'm not sure about where your at but in Mi most insurance co.s won't insure anything over a 600cc.

Thanks for the feed back. I have to see what the insurance deal is in NH but that is a good point. I dont remeber anything out of the ordinary w/ the MXZ670 but I guess I should check the rate.
Please keep the feedback comming.

In NY I think the cutoff point was exactly 670. Anything bigger and the premium went up a fair amount.

if you can stand to do it, whatever sled you end up wanting to get, youd be better off waiting til the fall to pick it up as you will save some $$$...just a thought-INDY

Superduty; I believe its a '98. I didnt buy it new but thought it was a '98 now I have to look again, what was the last year for that sled, '98 or '99?
Indy500XCSP; why do you think I should wait? Arent the accessory packages better when snowchecked?

I talked to a friend that bought the 600 for his wife and an 800 for himself. He said the only time the 800 takes the 600 is on the top end. Now I have questions about this SDI motor. Thanks for the feedback please keep it comming.
