Whats the fastest youv'e been on a sled?

Postby 1fastcougar440 » September 28th, 2003, 7:15 am

ok, after talking with the ppl who had it b4 me, and my father, i came to the conclusion that they have it bored .020 over and a clutch kit. what amazes me is that it still pulls the ski's off the ground at least 4 inches for 11-12 feet, and yet it is still geared high enough to get up to 100-104 mph. it depends how much gas i have in my tank.

1slowcougar440, that is called weight transfer...big deal... I had an 89 yamaha ovation(340fan) that would pull the skis for 30 FEET. As for 104mph, NO WAY, I've got 500 bucks that says no way, especially on radar...by the way what brand and model of gun?

Hey, I used to have a 1978 Arctic Cat Pantera 5000 (500cc fan cooled) that would hit about 105 MPH on the speedo at full throttle. However, at this speed, my brother on his 1995 V-Max 600 (stock 600 liquid) would just FLY past me, probably a good 20 mph faster than me. Now I can do the same thing to him on my 1997 Mach 1. I can wrap the speedo just past the 130 mph mark if the conditions are right. I don't know what this works out to on radar or GPS. I do know that it's FRICKING FAST. This year I have a bigger track, and I am re-gearing. There's no reason I can think of to go over 100. I would rather get to 90 or 95 really fast.

Fast as an 03 ZR 9 will go. Speedo on the kitty only said 100mph but we all know how bad speedo lies.

I want to re-gear my form 3 600. It comes out of the hole really good. One time the front end came up so high I thought it was going to flip.lol.

It's a 99'. I want more top-end. 110 would be nice. But I don't know if I can get it geared that high. Maybe I'll need a new clutch? Its been re-geared before but it's not fast enough at the topend. As of right now it hits a solid 105.
