I have no clue to what your really looking for other than you want a silencer.....silencers shave weight and not much else, if your lucky you might add 2-4 HP with just the can. A '97 is "just about" at the end of the road for this type of product. The good news is the parts you seek are still on the shelf waiting for you to buy them. click here :
I have this site handy and offer it to you but I have never purchased anything from them myself. There are alot of manufactures of the item you are looking for and these are just a few of the so called major ones. I tend to like SLP products as they have always been quality parts.....but in the end you have to choose. If it was me who wanted to do a "garage mod to my 97 Yam".....I would put my money in a roller clutch. I have just bought a Rigid roller secondary clutch and the sweetest deal with it is with the option of installing it onto any current make and model machine that I own now or might own down the trail. That means I can take-it-with-me as my sled inventory changes. Like I said its really up to your needs/wants in perf products. Adding a good roller clutch would give you more noticable improvements for the trails & the twisties than say just a silencer. You would feel the shift when changing RPM's from braking/cornering and lets not forget ..accelerating!
A can will run under $300..the rollers secondary are average $400. Happy trails
