It depends. Just a clean up .010-.020 oversize, gains are marginal at best. If you are taking a 600 cc motor to 700 cc total volume then there are respectable gains of an estimated 5-8 HP depending on porting, and other work done in conjunction to the bore job. It's all relative to what your doing, repair for a burn down, or full modification of an engine.
