Hey,

I am new to this sport. Can you guys tell me of places to ride in the Northern IL area. What are the laws on riding on the side of state roads?

Thanks,
Dahlfan

It's been a number of years since I lived up there. I know 2 very active local clubs in that area were called the Riverbenders, based somewhere near the Fox River (or was it Huntley?), and the Snow Hunters used to be around Lake In The Hills. There was discussion of the two clubs merging a while back, not sure if it happened. They both had their own trail systems they set up and maintained, but housing development had been eating them up whan I moved away so I don't know how it is now. I'm sure you can find them easily with a quick on-line search.

COURTESY on the trails is CONTAGIOUS!!! Slow down EARLY for oncoming sleds!!!
ONLY pass from behind when signaled to do so!!!

THEN.....and only then...RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!
