castrol two stoke versus other oils

Postby mrbrick » December 21st, 2004, 10:55 am

What are the opinions on Castrol two stroke vs other types, I have been using Castrol for years in my 91 Polaris injection and 85 Tundra premix, now I have a 2003 600 EFI Pantera ( liquid) and would like to have thoughts on Castrol in the Cat

2003 you need oil that is for exhaust valves....Don't! use the castrol unless it is for power valves...Which I doubt it is.
They're all junk!

I used it premix for a year in my Cat, premix. No problems. I changed over to Amsoil, now with power valves. Probably won't hurt anything.

Skidon't...is that true? Ski-Doo goes through Castrol for oil? I thought they would have gone through a bigger Petro Company. Wonder who Arctic Cat has? For once, I'm being serious here.

castrol two stoke versus other oils

I don't know who Doo uses for their oil these days. Back in the dark ages when it came in white bottles with the blue/orange/yellow decals I noticed that the bottom of their synthetic was stamped with the "Redline" logo, so I figured Doo's synthetic was simply re-labled Redline synthetic.

But since they've started selling it in the yellow bottle/blue decal, I don't know whose product they're selling anymore.

I've never had a problem with ANY 2 stroke oil on the market. Never had an oil related breakdown, failure, or lost a race I'd admit to because of oil. They are all dam good.
