I just recieved the inside scoop on a 2006 F9. It is a 190 horsepower turbo charged 2 stroke engine. The graphics are unknown.

Why would they need to turbo charge a 900cc two stroke motor? That motor would be making about that much horsepower anyways if they base it on the F7 motor but larger. A big bore kit to make the 700cc firecat motor a 800cc motor makes around 170hp with twin pipes. So I am sure that arctic cat could get around 180-190 out of a stock 900 based on that motor.

Not saying it can't be done but I have a lot of expierence with forced induction(cars though). Back when I was racing pocketbikes (40cc 2 strokes). I came up with a kind of ram air setup for it, but i found my problem to be getting really lean on top, and having to compensate for it with a bigger jet and my mid range would suffer.

I guess my point is, would efi take care of this? Because without some kind of fuel managment there is no way that thing would work right. It would be a dog out of the hole and rip up top or vise versa. 2 strokes are picky when you cram air down their throat.

Check out d&d racing. They are getting 196hp out of the f7 with their F9 kit. Look at Their tech page. They scan and post for true dyno output results. No Turbo.
