Must find sled or go insane

Postby arcticatman » February 12th, 2005, 7:53 am

Well, I've been looking for a sled, STILL. I've tried the pennysaver, ebay motors, monkeyads, sledswap, snowmobiles-for-sale, snowsnakes, and the rest. I can't seem to find a sled that is what I want. I;m looking for a sled that isn't an '80's and is about a K. Any ideas, or anyone have a sled? I live in NY not too far from Rochester.

I'm looking for something with a track and 2 skis. But, I need to find a sled that is a 90's sled and for 1000 bucks. I did check Ebay, nothing around here in my price range. Actually Ebay is becoming a daily routine, I check it every morning searching for a sled, and then I find nothing, or get out bid.

you can find an nice early 90's Polaris XLT for around or probly less then $1000, they are good reliable sleds and best bang for the cheap buck i think. i paid $1000 canadian for my 94 xlt and it runs flawlessly and was mint condition.

Better learn to search Ebay a little bit better. I just looked over there and there are a bunch of sleds in the 800-1200 dollar price range. Just look under the category snowmobiles and have them listed by highest price. Check the sporting goods and the Ebay motors section of the site.

Well, I know it by heart now. But, prob is, not a lot of sleds near me, as in 200 mile radius. Damn. I did find a 1994 EXT going for around a thou. BUT, no registration for transfer. I have gotten the registration to sleds in the past, but I bought them from guys that just lost the registration and still owned them. This guy has never owned the sled, just bought it with no papers. Any ideas?

$1200 for my 98 440 sno pro, its yours. The winters in mn suck and I don't have time to use it. 160 miles on a brand new motor, 800 total on the chasis. Some pics can be seen here http://www.knight-rider.org/mn-dsm/members/profiles/rabeb25.html, can get more on request.
