Poor Fuel Mileage

I own a 1994 Ski-Doo Formula MX 470,the sled only has 1400 miles on it. I can only stretch about 60-70 miles out of 10 gal of gas is this normal?

what are your plugs like? how do you ride? you should be able to get more out of it i'd think

That sled should aleast get 150miles per tank

Those 470 are awesome on gas

Hello, How does the sled run? Has the engine ever been apart? Your problem can range from incorrect float level to incorrect rotory valve timing. Good luck, Freddy.

Primary and secondary clutch performance is cruicial to fuel consumption. We changed the spring in the primary clutch on a 2003 Polaris Classic 700 and got the range of a tank of fuel from 85 miles to 110 miles. Make sure both clutches are up to specs and working properly.
