Don't let some of these polargoons on this site see this post...lol...I also had a 2002 viper...the rear suspension was a rough riding POS....but..the engine kicked butt...I kept hearing how slow they were on here, before I bought mine...low and behold I got mine home...and it wasn't very fast..took it to my local yami dealer...found out the power valves weren't in sync (I guess the dealers were supposed to check for this)...so my local dealer syncd the power valves, and carbs..did some minor clutching (different spring, more weigh in the tip).. and we also swapped tracks...he wanted my stock viper track for his SRX, gave me a brand new finger track (great track for lake running, and hard pack...sucks in soft snow)..which I put 144 studs in...the sled gained 10 MPH on a radar gun..I completely spanked my buddies 670 HO ski-doo, and whipped several rev 600 hos...I don't know about the fusion 600 HO...but I creamed polaris 700 ves sleds....to make a long story short...many people posted how slow their vipers were/are..or that they whipped a viper..if you have a slow viper, you should have a dealer make sure your power valves and carbs are syncd..it makes a big difference. (my sled was also jetted way to fat for our elevation..check that as well)
