Pipes for xc800

Anyone out there found out what the best set of pipes is for this rig? PSI appears to be making the biggest power gain , but any input for some real world numbers would be much appreciated. It's an 01 (non-ves)model by the way.Had a set of SLP pipes on a 98 700 and had good luck but kind of leaning to PSI this time around.
Anyone had an experience out there?

I'm also looking for pipes for my 01 800 XC. From what SLP says you cannot use their pipes on Pump gas so I'm will probably go with PSI as well. I don't know if PSI has a clutch kit for the roller clutch though so I may get that from Goodwin. Does any one have any experience with this combo?

PSI does have a clutch setup made directly for their pipes including all the necessary parts for 189 bucks. You don't have to change your heads with their pipes supposedly. Wish i could get a little more info before i decide to buy.

SLP's new single pipe for the '02 XC800 put's out 13hp peak and it ceramic coated, I just recieved mine today. The SLP twins for the '02 are saying 21hp but only come with a ceramic coated can.

just wanted to let you know that when the aftermarket pipe guys say there is a 21hp increase you can count on less than that in your ride. They set up the machines to give the highest reading possible by leaning the bugger out to the verge of melt down. if they were to run it down the trail for any length of time it would sieze. No question, pipes offer more ponnies, but dont be fooled by the numbers posted by the manufacturers. :)
