Big Bore Kits

Postby Flyin'500 » January 24th, 2002, 6:09 am

I ride a '99 ZR 500 that is stock in every which way (except for 144 studs). I want to boost my sled's performance in all the RPM ranges, especially the low and mid-ranges. Do any of you guys know of any good, reliable, trail-friendly, bog bore kits for my sled? Have any of you guys tried them? I don't have an enormous amount of money to spend. If any of you can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

A friend put a Hooper 640 kit on his 99 440 sno pro, and said it ROCKED. I believe hooper has a kit for your sled, but probobly in the $2500.00 - 2800.00 range.

If you want big gains for your $$. Get black magic twin pipes, port it, throw in a set of reeds, and a clutch kit. This wont cost as much as a big bore kit.
