Need advice on spliting a crank

Postby rotarisracing » March 4th, 2002, 4:00 am

I have a 583 rotax engine that needs new bearings. How do I go about spliting the crank. What do I need? Any thoughts, let me know. Thanks

If your talking about the center main bearing, take it to a qualified shop. DO NOT attempt this at home unless you are expierienced in crank rebuilding. The fact that you asked this question leads me to believe you are not.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
