You'll throw out your back with a Mach any of the other overweight junk two strokes because you have to pack lots of tools to keep them going.
RX1 Mountain : 583#
Spark Plugs : 4 1#
Gas: 10 Gal 65#
Total: 649#
Be nice you guys, she may be a young lady who's serious abut getting into the sport. Surely you wouldn't want her to start out with a stinky, rattling, oil spewing, unreliable two stroke. Teach her on the best technology has to offer, RX1.

Mach: 591#
Spark Plugs: Box of 40 10#
400 Piece tool kit 40#
Oil: 1 Gal 5#
Gas: 12 Gal 60#
Total: 706 Earth crumbling pounds

(Steps up onto soapbox...)

A stinky, rattling, oil spewing, unreliable two stroke?

Sure. We'll teach her to get on a machine that requires ZERO mechanical knowledge to ride. Just like 99% of the people that drive cars nowadays. When something DOES go wrong they expect their mechanic to fix it.
My two stroke don't stink. The smell is a helluva lot sweeter than a fourstroke smell. Put your face near the exhaust of any fourstroke. It'll burn your nose. Maybe it's an aquired taste(err... smell).
My two stroke don't rattle. Ever considered checking your motor mounts of your twostroke engines?
My two stroke don't spew no oil and it has been very reliable. You must've run some real POS and never knew how to do a bit of basic maintenence eh? I suppose you hate it when you have to grease your suspension, if you do it at all. A bit of oil on your hands "OMG!" you scream.

Heavy? Yeah, the Mach was heavy, the thunder putty was heavy, all those sleds were heavy. They were good iron in their day, but in CASE you haven't noticed, they don't sell anymore. Why? Cuz the lightweight twins are more fun to more people. The RX1 sold on hype, "woooo performance fourstroke! Don't know how much it weighs so I can't compare it but oh well!" and to n00bs like you that can't do a bit of simple mechanical work and don't like two strokes "cuz they make a smell". Sweet jeeze louise.

No offense or anything of course.

Powdar,
I bet you're the one with the abused never get any attention junkie two stroke. My sled is always in cherry condition, do a complete check after every ride and always on time with PMs. Didn't mean to hit a nerve with the two stroke stuff. Just trying to keep things interesting while we whittle away at the boring summer waiting for it to snow. In reality we don't get serious about riding till mid December or so. How bout you guys?
