Place;Rib Lake, Wi., 12/07/02, Temp +25F,5/10 mile
VMAX-4 135.8 (Turbo 750cc)
TCAT-1000 127.6 ($3000+ mods)
RX-1 4S 125.5 (SRX height sus. STK. Engine)
SRX700 124.9 ( STK.?????)
XCR800 121.4 ( STK.???? Pipes yes)
MXZ800 116.1 ( major mod.s ???)
SRX600 115.4 ( STK. ?????)
Viper 115.4 ( SLP triple pipes ???)
ZR600 113.3 ( STK.????)
MXZ600 110.9 ( Maybe the only STK/STK. sled)

The RX-1 won most of the 1000/1200ft. drag race. Most races over 1000Ft the TCAT1000 would win. Which it should even if it was stk. when you are racing a 4S with a 2S. Also another RX-1 with 40 miles on sled run at 119 mph. Just for fun waiting for snow.

do you think your radar gun may be in need of calibration ?? These speeds seem a little excessive if you ask me.

I agree Salt. I'd say you could dump at least 10 mph off of everyone of those sleds. Theres now way a stock 600 MXZ does 110!

Bandit said "maybe" the MXZ was stock. I don't think these speeds are too high......you guys must really be slow or just don't know how to make a sled go.....hey, that rhymed :)

The numbers are the best of the day not an avg. The MXZ600 run around 107 most of the day. This was also on ice with no snow all the sleds numbers were good for the day. Last week the RX-1 best speed was 121mph. Next week the speeds could be back down below the 120's. If you radar enough you would know how much speed can change from day to day. The RX-1 run from 122 to 125 during the day. The RX-1 still won the drag racing. This was just a fun day.

These are all 1/2 miles speeds??
Well my 02 XCR800 runs over 127 thru the 1/4.
My old 99 XCR800 ran 121 thru the 1/4.
So these numbers dont seem out of line!!!!!

Man, must be something wrong with sleds in the West MI area, fastest I seen is a kitted 1000cc Tcat that went 121mph on Crockery Lake, near Sparta. On a certified stalker radar gun, lots of sleds running 115 to 120 or so but none of the speeds you guys are getting. Must be heavy air or something....
