I rather stick to Supertrax wet weights and AMS shootout 5gal/full fluids weight

BECAUSE no one rides without gas

The REV weights are WAY OFF

Both engines are basically the same accept for piston and would not be more then 5 LBS dif

When weighing the 600 REV, for some reason they picked a 007 edition.

It has elect. start, elect. fuel and temp gauges and a battery.

I was wondering how the 600 rev weighs more than the 800. I rode my girls' 600 sport with reverse and electric start and it feels much lighter than my 800X for some reason.

I can't believe no one has said a word about the RX-1 being 612#!
Freeze...the gas part shouldn't matter 'cause gas weighs the same, it's just how much is in it.
It's all the other fluids being full (especially coolant) that matters. The idea is not to "penalize" a sled for having more fuel/oil capacity than another brand.

R_T

The AMS shootout weights are all sleds weighed with 5 gallons of gas

As for the RX-1 we all knew it was heavy:)

Freeze- I understand that, I was just saying if they all have the same amount in them, it doesn't matter how much.

Anyone notice how each year every manufacturer claims their sleds weigh 20 lbs less but when they are weighed they all seem to be right around 500 lbs and have been for the past 5 years.
