Racing benifits RX- development.....

Has anyone else read where the race in the Soo helped the yamaha people learn about breakin spindles. why didn't yamaha know those spindles would break if driven like that? They must not of done enough R@D in the field. Its a good thing they learned about their spindles breakin when bein driven hard like that. I wouldn't want a spindle breakin under me when I was goin through the trees. If I ever buy a yamaha.

Anyways..its good to see racing help yamaha better their sled, safety wise..an performance wise.

Just my .02 here, those spindles that micro-belmont made for Postula's sled were sweet looking!! The stock spindles just weren't designed for the side loading oval racing puts on a sled, of course, a 650 lb race sled is going stress any front end part....:)

I don't know yet Bandit...I'm hopin this thread sheds some light on the situation. You don't think they will keep sellin the same spindle that was breakin to the consumers do ya bandit? They are probably still workin on them......I heard yamaha is at the lake here now, maybe I will see a new spindle on the yammies runnin the ice this weekend.
