take a look at this picture, and look how high the seat is, and how tall the tunnel is. this would give enough room for the direct drive and huge suspension while still moving the rider up and changing riding style.

also, heard these sleds will have the steering column over the engine.

Seen one of these at the Gaylord WSA National. Kent Ipsen ran it, it has the diamond drive. There is a new SnoPro for 04 coming out. This has some of the features. The steering went over the engine and had custom mounting. It came through the hood where the speedo would mount.

Your right that is funny, because neither Yami's or Cat have any resemblence to a REV.

Didn't Poo have a "higher" seat on their last years race sled? But everyone said "Ooo a seat, there a tech advance". But looks like Cat is headed in that direction.

Cat needs to do something. All the racers I talked to this year about buying their REV 440 Race sled said they used to ride Cats but there is a clear advantage in rider position and handling with the REV so they switched. One guy even switched in the middle of the season and lost all of his sponsors just because he tried a REV in practice and loved it. Just go to hardcoresledder.com and then to the REV-GSX form and see how many people rode F7's and 5's last year who ordered 04 REVS. I was suprised.

I'd bet that Doos next generation of engines will be similar to cats lay down design. The real question is whether Polaris will quit playing around with pretty stickers and design a new sled before Cat modifies the F-chassie and Doo designs a lay-down engine. If they don't they'll be left in the snow dust with Yamaha.____DREW

mxz2k2, if you're talking about plastic body design, then Doo copied Blade.

XtremeXC, the seat on the Olah Race sleds is normal height (maybe shorter). They made the tunnel deeper to accomplish the same thing. The seat is still near the same height off the ground too still.

Guys everyone copied the Yamaha Sno-Scoot. The REV is just a full size Sno-Scoot LOL. Why are you sled guys always looking at who was first with the idea? If it make all sled better that's the best for all of us!
