I got a couple windows out in the big barn, got about 10 pigeons living therre now, well actually 8, I shot 2 this weekend.
I thought I was a great shot, but never hunted birds before.
I have shot 1.5 boxes of shell's and only got 2 birds, how far do i got to lead these SOB'S??
all I can say is they sh it so much it piles up....

so you know, Pigeons wont go away if I close up windows, they will do whatever they can to get back in, like tear stuff up, anyone want to come and help shoot em up-LOL

Red wait till they roost and use a 22 they are easier to hit. The little holes in the roof can be fixed easier than a shotgun blast! lol:)

Actually I am shooing them out of barn, then blasting them.
They have knocked out about 5 panes of glass, so they have easy access in and out.

You can actually go up there at night(put the ladder up earlier) and they are dumb enough after dark not to fly away for the most part. Then you can just slowly reach out and grab them one at a time and tear their little heads off. Never fire a shot. Although shootin' them is more fun. I'm not making it up, we would have to do it every few years when I was on the farm.
If you do it just right you can shoot them as they are flying away and you can take the "how much to lead them" factor out of your question. 7 1/2 shot works best. A 30" barrel w/ full choke will give you some range on your poke. No pun intended. Good luck w/ your endeavor Carl. OR for a 12 pk of Pabst I can have 'em wiped out b4 I'm done with the 2nd beer.

LOL @ Riggs....I like your style. I was just going to suggest putting up a barn owl box, which will keep them away for ever, but your way sounds more fun...and way more evil!

Red try setting out some Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold medicine. It kills seagulls when they eat them. Something about the bubbly fizzy action when it gets in the stomach.. The greenies will love this....HeHeHeHe

A .22 with birdshot is best for pigeons, it doesn't put holes in the roof! Or you could borrow my RWS air rifle with 6X10 scope, and hit them from afar while you're drinking beer and they're sitting still! They never know it's coming.

If all else fails, DeCon rat poison will do the trick, but I agree with Riggs, shooting them is much more fun
