Look at them side by side and decide which one looks better - they are both solid sleds.

One thing to keep in mind - if you don't have a garage full of tools and a lot of free time - you might want to go with the Doo.
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Yer not comparing apples to apples! An MXZ is a mogul buster - a ZL is not. The ZR will match up with the MXZ. If you ride hard and beat on the sled - go with the MXZ, if you want a softer ride, go with the ZL. Motor wise, they're about the same.

it depends what trails you ride. if you like sno-cross wannabee mogal trails i would say go with the mxz. if you are planning on riding smooth groomed trails only, go for the zl.

Dude you gotta get a ZR 800 not a ZL 800.They are a little firmer ride.But you can drive them a little harder.Without a doubt get a zr.And make sure it has efi.I have a 02 ZR 800efi with 9000 trouble free miles.you will love it.

Optimus....the ZL SS isn't far off from the ZR suspension....and it DOES work! Nice ride cruisin', AWESOME RIDE on the sh!t trails...best of both worlds...OH YA...no puke green on it, either!
