I havent even started my sled up yet, We had snow up north here for maybe 3 weeks, then rain rain and more rain, so conditions are VERY icy. Once we get some good snow totals up north, i'll be up there looking for people to race on the lakes, Gotta love a little competition. I'm sure someone at the radar runs will have a 05 RX-1 so i'll give him a little smack talk so he'll race me. Has anyone raced any new 05 F7s? I hear they arent as fast as prior years. Who knows.

Yes the rear suspension is the key ..they transfer weight alot better...the 03-04's you really had to fiddle with..plus the 03's had those worthless conical lug tracks...they'd only hook up on hard pack..the 05 has the 1 1/4 ripsaw...with the better weight transfer, lighter weight, and the ripsaw track...they hook up real good out of the hole...much quicker than an 03.

this board has nothing but cat-haters and yamaha experts.

this is the truth this site is filled with a bunch of haters whith their overgrown ego which is blocing their abillity to see both sides of the story. i am a hardcore cat rider and yes i love to bash other brands but i will agree that each brand has some advantages and in many cases disadvantages. im so sick of people sayin slo pro, hell i race snowcross (04 sno pro)and in my class there is nobody who can catch me off the line. slo my ##s!

AT 100' the RX-1 will be passing an F7? Wait you must be talking about the TURBO. I thought for sure we were talking about stock here, cause the RX-1 isnt even competitive till atleast 800' feet.

Fastfirecat, do anything you want to your Firecat and bring it on, you know as well as the rest of us you can't get the power the modded RX1's get without blowing apart like a pipe bomb. And the new RX1's are faster than you think, they dialed the clutching, lost 25#, and other things. Go race one, I dare Ya. You have invitations don't you?

I know modded rx-1s put out unbelievable horsepower with a turbo, but common guys, why doesnt yamaha push the engine a little more? I think 160 horse stock could be reached easily. Still doesnt handle as good as a 2-stroke yet.
I'm ready to race any sleds out on the lake, that being 4 or 2 stroke.
Invitations? Havent had any yet. Need some damn snow before i can go race. Wish mother nature would let me have some snow so i can go have some fun. I hope to take pics of the races i race, if i can find a guy to run the camera.
